EtherNET vs EtherNOT … again?

August 23 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm UTC-7

Title: EtherNET vs EtherNOT … again?

Abstract: Emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning(ML) workloads are fueling the demand of high-performance interconnects. RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) adopted modern data transfers into Ethernet systems about a decade ago. But Ethernet technology seems to be falling back when compared to other networks. Will we all have to deploy two networks now? A fast backend accelerator network and a slow frontend network, or can we converge the slow Ethernet to a fast unified network to support existing and emerging workloads? EtherNET vs EtherNOT … again?
